In July of 2014 civilian Flight MH17 was shot down by Russian Ground to Air missiles over Ukraine en-route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. Putin and Russia tried to blame Ukraine, but Dutch and Australian (two countries, along with Malaysia whose citizens made up the bulk of the 298 dead) investigators later determined that elements of the Russian Army illegally deployed in Ukraine were responsible for the crime.
An Australian citizen, Anthony Maslin, had his three beautiful children (pictured above) taken from him that July day fours years ago.
When Mr. Maslin saw news reporting of Trump French kissing Putin in Helsinki he was overcome with emotion and posted the below to his Facebook page, according to The BBC:
“In a Facebook post addressed to the US president, Mr. Maslin called on Mr Trump to eschew talk of "fake news" in favour of "irrefutable facts".
"That passenger flight MH17 was shot out of the sky and 298 innocent people were murdered is an irrefutable fact," he wrote alongside a photo of his children Mo, Evie and Otis.
"That the plane was hit by a Russian missile has been proven to be an irrefutable fact.
"That this killed our 3 beautiful children and their grandfather, and destroyed our life and many other lives in the process, is an irrefutable fact."
He added: "That the man whose arse you've just been kissing did this, and continues to lie about it, is an irrefutable fact."
In an unfortunate moment for himself, Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull in turn described Trump as...
“an "American patriot" who was doing his best for the US.”
I guess Mr. Maslin will have to take to Facebook again.
